Tab Template Settings
1. If you don't upload a PDF, a template can still be created by entering values in the fields below.
2. The values for Binding and Non-Binding edges should be the finished size of your tab sheets, including the tab. This may be smaller than your PDF page size if you have bleeds or crop marks in your file. The most common finished size for tabs is 9”x11” where 9” is the non-binding edge and 11” is the binding edge. This tab size is for 8.5”x11" books
3. All the pages in the PDF must be the same size.
4. The PDF must be rotated so the tabs are on the top. To rotate a pdf in Acrobat Pro, press Shift + Ctrl + R or Shift + Cmd + R on a Mac. Make sure all of the pages are rotated the correct direction. Save a copy of the rotated PDF and upload the saved copy.
5. If you print the template, make sure you choose “Actual size” in the paper size settings. If you choose “Fit” or any other option, your template will not print correctly.
6. Scroll down to see a live preview. If you upload a file, the live preview will only show the first page. Click the “Download PDF Template” to view all of the pages in your file.
